Ovronnaz - Chamoson, the small resort with thermal baths

This small and not so well known Valais resort is a sunny south facing resort with perfect views, which is spread over a large area with many residential chalets. The apartments are focused closer to the center where you also find the large public thermal baths which also have amazing views over the valley and across to La Tzoumaz. Ovronnaz is connected to that of Mayens de Chamoson, and it is hard to tell the two apart. A ski bus links the two and Chamoson is where land is still quite cheap and chalet projects can be done from 800,000CHF.

The ski region is sufficient for families and a week skiing, and there is some of the best off piste in the region, if you know where to go. The resort has a few little 'centers' as it is spread out over a large area, with several restaurants and shops a Coop supermarket also. Most of the time one needs to have a car here to go to the different shops and restaurants, but there is plenty of parking and the resort is far from busy!

We feel that for a family there are many activities here to keep you busy summer and winter and the Thermal baths are the start attraction that make this resort, there are also plans to enlarge the baths as they are so popular. Property prices are very reasonable and some of the best in the region, when you compare the facilities the resort offers, with the planned expansion of the thermal center we feel this is a growing resort to keep an eye on.
