Account overview

A Swiss bank account offers you the 'age old' tradition of strict privacy. This means that your personal bank details are only known by you and your bank manager. You may also use the highest level of privacy and have a numbered account. These accounts are normally for investment clients.

The privacy of your account can only be lifted in certain cases such as drug offences and other major crimes. Even divorce matters or tax evasion in your own country will not lift the privacy, Swiss law does not recognise failure to report income as a crime, and therefore a Swiss judge must be convinced that you have committed a crime in Switzerland, to allow others access to your account.
