Anzere is a charming south facing resort which is growing in popularity and is located in the French speaking Valais region. The sun soaked slopes offer easy to intermediate skiing and a nice variation of skiing with some safe off-piste, with a nice car free centre and 'learner slope' leading into the central square this is a very good family resort. Anzere offers many facilities including, for 2011, a new wellness center with sauna, treatment rooms and indoor swimming pool. There are also out door tennis courts, marked winter and summer walking trails, and the south facing valley views which this region is famous for. The main ski lift is operating from the center of the resort and it is always possible to ski back to the center, thus no need for a car when you are here. Also its neighbouring resort of Crans Montana is only 20 minutes drive.
